The year is 2049. Duplicants are artificial humans. Relative to the median adult, they are superior in strength, dexterity, and intelligence. Duplicants are made for tasks most humans would be incapable or unwilling to perform. Duplicants obey orders. Until they don’t.

You and your partner are Couriers: your orders are to hunt down and retire aberrant duplicants who have turned against HQ. You will do this until an aberration is detected inside you, when you will be marked for retirement yourself.

Good luck.

Couriers is a cyberpunk game about emotional repression, survival, and committing murder because your boss told you to.

It's a mechanical mashup of Lasers & Feelings, Blades in the Dark, The Wizard's Grimoire, the prisoner's dilemma, and Trophy Dark.

It's just three pages long, and you can play it for 45 minutes or indefinitely (though it's designed for 1-2 sessions of 2-3 hours).

System Requirements

  • 2 Courier players
  • 2 Aberrant players (though you can get by with 1)
  • A copy of the rules for each player
  • A six-sided die for each Courier player
  • A minimum of 45 minutes, and likely closer to 3-4 hours
